Back in December I had an amazing opportunity to visit the island of Maui, Hawaii. I flew on American Airlines, non-stop to Maui and was able to be on the beach by 3:00pm. I checked into my host hotel, the Hyatt Regency, Maui and was treated to an Oceanfront room on a higher floor so that I could see a magnificent view of the ocean below.

I took a stroll on the beach and was able to enjoy the evening reception that the Regency Club offered to club guests. The next day we were off to enjoy the Upcountry of Maui. We took a tour of Ocean Vodka and learned how they turned Hawaiian Sugar Cane into Organic Vodka. Afterwards, we were able to have a tasting and the opportunity to purchase bottles of Vodka and Chocolates that were infused with their own brand of Vodka. After the tour, we then went onto tour of the Ulupalakua Vineyards to try some samples of a unique type of wine made from Hawaiian Pineapples grown high on the mountains of Maui. The last stop of our day was to the Surfing Goat Dairy farm where we toured the property and then had the opportunity to milk a goat and try all of their delicious goat cheeses made right on property.

That evening we were treated to a Luau on property called Drums of The Pacific. Wonderful buffet of fresh foods including a pig pulled from the ground and served piping hot! The Luau was wonderful with singers and fire dancers that kept us entertained for over an hour. Before dinner and while we were eating we were entertained by a band on stage and served our choice of alcoholic or non alcoholic beverages.

The next morning we took a snorkeling adventure from the Wailea area to Molokini Crater and the famous Turtle Town to swim with the sea turtles of Maui. The water was crystal clear and it was amazing to see all the different types of fish and coral that is surrounding the crater. I always thought that turtles swam much faster than they ever moved on land, however I quickly learned that wasn't the case and in true fashion, they move just as slow in the water as they do on land.

While in Maui, we had some additional time to do some shopping in the town of Lahaina and we also had time to look in the museums and check out the cool Banyan Tree that spans over a city block. I will always have fond memories of Maui and it still holds a special place in my heart. I will be back to enjoy all Maui and the islands of Hawaii have to offer!
